Philmon Haile
My name is Philmon Haile. I was born in Sudan. I moved to America when I was three, and lived in Seattle ever since. I attended Garfield High School. In my sophomore year, I started studying Chinese with One World Now! With the help of OWN, in my junior year I went to Washington, D.C. to work as a House of Representatives Page. After that amazing year, I was awarded an OWN study abroad scholarship to study in Anshan, China for an academic year. That was the most amazing year of my life. I met so many people and learned so much. I am now a freshman in college, studying at Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania. I really like learning new languages and exploring.
Eric Henderson
Eric Henderson is a fine art photographer. With no prior training (or interest) in photography, he has taught himself by shooting nearly every day since. "I thought it would make a nice paperweight, but, instead it took over my life." With a BA from Texas A&M University and an MBA from The Thunderbird School of Global Management (Glendale, AZ), his work consisted of nearly 20 years of national and international marketing assignments with GE, Pepsi, Citigroup, an independent advertising agency and two non-profit organizations: Management Leadership for Tomorrow and Living Cities, the latter of which he served as Director of Communications and led the re-launching of the brand identity of this organization comprised of the CEO's and senior leadership of 25 of the nation's largest foundations, including such as the Ford, Gates, Rockefeller foundations.
Eric also enjoys his work as a teaching artist, having been sponsored on multiple global projects in Morocco, Brasil, France, and across the US, working with OneWorld Now!, a Seattle-based non-profit and such entities as Starbucks, Amideast, and The World Bank. During the course of this work he estimates that he has refurbished and given out over 20 Brownie Hawkeye cameras around the world to both children and adults willing to learn. Eric lives and works in Brooklyn, NYC and is proud of his family, back home in Dallas Texas: Charles and Margaret and his three brothers, Charles Jr., Christopher, and Gregory.
